Penge Double Rear Extension

This project began with the client’s vision for a full double storey wraparound extension. After reviewing costs and possibilities, we collaborated closely to rework the scope, resulting in a more cost-effective yet impactful double-storey rear extension.

Upstairs, we added a brand new bedroom and bathroom, reconfiguring the original layout by removing the outdated bathroom that previously sat within the single-storey ground floor rear section. This created a more spacious and functional upstairs living space.

Downstairs, we extended the kitchen footprint, blending modern utility with warmth and character. The client chose classic terracotta floor tiles, which now anchor the space beautifully and complement their Howdens kitchen perfectly.

The final result is a bright, functional family extension with improved flow, extra room, and thoughtful finishes - all delivered within budget. The client was thrilled with the transformation and how much space was added without compromising on design.
